Something so simple, something so little- yet can become so difficult to stay true too.
You may live states away from loved ones or just across town. Whichever it may be, you shouldn't become discouraged when life seems to get in the way.
Hands down, I can relate to those that don't think there are enough hours in the day. When you've got work, after-school activities, business trips, & half written blog posts to publish- the texts/calls/voicemails from friends and family can start to pile on as well.
That's why Skype has become such an incredible platform to help you stay connected. No matter where two people may be- you can talk to one another through your computer and/or phone.
Watch below as Denis captures his first and only family photo through Skype since moving to Pennsylvania from Uganda. Such a touching story.

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Cascade. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
Washing the dishes isn't exactly my most favorite chore to accomplish. Along with folding the laundry, their the last few items I try to hold off to the very end. I mean, who really wants to stand over their sink with two children hanging on their leg or sneaking off to get into something they shouldn't.
It can become quite the hassle to rinse off everything prior to loading it into the dishwasher. & let's be honest, all of those generic dish wash liquid/pacs just don't cut it. That's why I was thrilled to introduce Cascade Platinum into our dish washing routine.
It's not only made our dishes significantly brighter, but has helped eliminate the dreaded middle man of pre-washing. Those days are now a figment of my imagination and I couldn't be happier.
The impact their product leaves on those pre-loved pots and pans will leave you wanting more. Even after leaving them in the dishwasher over night, your still able to find a fresh, clean outcome.
I don't think Gail Simmons couldn't have said it any better: "The best part about it is you don't have to worry, Cascade handles it all."

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Unilever.
A few weeks ago, I shared our love for Walmart (see our post here) and a few hints on what recipe we planned on making. What better way to kick off summer then to put a fun new twist on a real classic: grilled cheese!
It's the perfect recipe to incorporate our favorite spread- I Can't Believe it's Not Butter. With 70% less saturated fat and 30% fewer calories then butter, it's always our first pick in the kitchen.
Try out this mouth-watering recipe and come back next week to see how it all turned out.
Ingredients:
French Bread
Sour Cream
Salsa
Black Olives
Doritos
Avocado
Pre-Sliced Cheese
Ground Beef
Eggs
Butter (I Can't Believe it's Not Butter Spread)
Tomato Soup
Cook the ground beef first and let your tomato soup simmer on low.
Crush the doritos onto their own plate and whisk 3-4 eggs into a bowl.
Butter each slice of bread, dip one side of each into the eggs, then right into the doritos.
Start layering your sandwich- cheese, ground beef, salsa, avocado, and olives. Put the other slice on top and cook your grilled cheese.
Once each side is crisp and the cheese has melted, take it off the stove and top it off with a dollop of sour cream and an extra olive.
Cooking your favorite recipes using Unilever buttery spreads is a deliciously smart move. With 0g trans fats per serving, less saturated fat and fewer calories than butter, cholesterol-free spreads are a better option.

We've been successfully potty trained for a little over a year now and couldn't be more proud of our girl. The key to a seamless transition in potty training is to have the patience of a saint. As much as you may want to chuck those diapers out the door right away, you need to make sure your child is truly ready.
It can be an overwhelming experience for them to take on, so with lots of positive encouragement and reinforcement- you'll easily be on the road to success.
Potty training can be accomplished well before their able to stay dry through the night. That's why we never felt the need to rush into this last and final step. Having the chance to use GoodNight's bedtime underwear and bed mats throughout this process has been incredibly helpful.
Although we've been using bedtime underwear at night, I think it's a great time to switch over to their bed mats and really knock this one out of the park.
With these helpful tips, we've been off to a great start:
- Cutting out drinks before bed.
- Making sure to use the potty beforehand.
- Remembering to use the potty if they wake up.
- A sticker chart for positive reinforcement.
On the road to dryer nights? Head over to Target and try them out for yourself with this Coupon.
